The Center for Creative Collaboration (C3) at the Indiana Institute of Technology hosted the "Insider Scoop" event annually in collaboration with the College of Business. Unlike conventional panel discussions, Insider Scoop was designed to bring in local experts and leaders to share some often less explored areas of professional and personal development. Guided by a skilled moderator, the event was not only a panel but a fresh approach to group dialogue that encouraged openness and inspired empathy. Insider Scoop was a thought-provoking, reflective, and inspiring live experience that inspired students to stretch themselves, cultivate their curiosity, make good decisions, and propel them to fulfilling their potential.

This event was born from an in-depth analysis provided by the CareerLeader self-assessment, revealing key insights into our students' motivations, interests, and self-assessed skills, such as their inclination towards Lifestyle, Security, and Power & Influence, but a notable deficiency in oral and written communication skills. These findings highlighted crucial drop-off periods for freshmen during Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks, steering our focus towards re-engaging students with their academic and professional pursuits.

As a graduate assistant for the C3 and the College of Business, my role extended across the spectrum of this enriching event. From shaping the brand identity to planning and designing the event, my responsibilities included promotion to ensure widespread engagement. Insider Scoop wasn't just for the traditional day students; it embraced online students, alums, and greater Fort Wayne community members. Through strategic event design and thoughtful planning, Insider Scoop became a catalyst for students and community members to stretch their boundaries, cultivate curiosity, make informed decisions, and unlock their full potential.
